Welcome Dr. Shishir Mathur: Cardiology

Dr. Mathur has been a physician for over eighteen years. He specializes in minimally invasive procedures for treating vascular and venous disease.

He is originally from India where he received his medical education. He completed his residency and fellowship training at Hartford Hospital, University of Connecticut.

• Special interest in acute coronary syndromes, peripheral vascular disease, and management of varicose veins.
• Specializes in minimally invasive techniques to open up blocked arteries of the heart to re-establish blood flow to the heart muscle.
• Uses the latest technologies, like intravascular ultrasound and optical coherence tomography in addition to coronary angiography for optimal assessment and treatment of coronary artery disease with stents.
