Update on the MD Portal

We are getting closer to our 2nd wave of implementation of Allscripts. Joining our group is Nephrology Associates of New Britain, who will remain in their locations and are scheduled for a go-live date of January 1st.  Soon to follow will be IM in a two-phase process. 

• The first IM group to go live in January
• The second IM group will go live in February
• After IM is live, next in line is Pediatrics, tentatively scheduled for February

Your physician champions, Dr. Wasserman and Dr. Haverly, are working closely with our IT team by reviewing clinical data from SRS to guide the conversion process of data and notes into Allscripts.

This is a complicated process as there are over a hundred thousand (!) different named documents in SRS. Many are misspelled and duplicate names that need to be mapped into more clearly stated document types.

Due to the amount of work for our IT team to accomplish these large initiatives and their critical need, we are unable to take on other new IT related projects. 

In March of 2017, we will have a “black out” period for our IT team to work on PQRS reporting for Medicare that determines our payment structure, before we resume roll-outs to other departments. We will communicate our next group of go-live departments after the New Year.
