Raising Minimum Salary

At the February Starling Board meeting, the Board was informed that a number of the medical employers in the area including Hartford Healthcare were increasing their minimum salary to $15 per hour. Our most recent minimum for Patient Service Reps was $14.35 and for Medical Assistants was $14.85. The motion was adopted  to create a minimum salary for all new clinical employees at Starling of $15 per hour. 

Departments are encouraged to raise current employees who are below this level to $15.00 for inexperienced Patient Service Reps, and in keeping with the $.50 premium for Medical Assistants, to $15.50 for MA’s.

HR will ask your Practice Manager to work with you in determining which of your PSR’s and MA’s, who are below the new hiring minimum, you would like to bring to the new minimum.
