Biography
Dr. Shaikh completed his Bachelor of Science degree at Mercer University where he majored in the biological sciences. He went on to Saint George’s University School of Medicine where he was a member of the Iota Epsilon Alpha medical honor society.
Dr. Shaikh completed his residency training at Norwalk Hospital in Norwalk, CT. During his residency, he was awarded intern of the year and was selected to serve as Chief Resident of the Internal Medicine program. Following his residency, Dr. Shaikh completed his Gastroenterology training at Norwalk Hospital/Yale University.
Dr. Shaikh has interests in luminal GI including colon cancer screening, esophageal disorders, and functional bowel disease.
