Susan Washburn, MD, is a dedicated pediatrician who has always been passionate about science and helping others. She found her calling in medicine as a child, and followed in the footsteps of her older sister, who is also a pediatrician.

Dr. Washburn has special interests in asthma, lactation, and obesity.  She enjoys taking care of patients of all ages. She believes in educating families and coming up with an individualized plan of action to keep their child healthy. “My goal is to ensure that patients and parents feel listened to and leave appointments feeling like their concerns were addressed,” she says. She also believes that being healthy is about more than just medicine within the office. She is passionate about ensuring access to healthy foods and outdoor spaces to encourage a healthy lifestyle.

What Dr. Washburn enjoys the most about being a pediatrician is having the opportunity to build long-term relationships with families and having the privilege of being their partner throughout childhood

When she’s not treating patients, Dr. Washburn enjoys spending time with her husband and dog. She also loves skiing, mountain biking, playing the piano, and baking.
