Madeline Mathias, PA-C, is a member of the Pediatrics team. She has always been fascinated by the human body and wanted to understand it better while helping others get the care they need to live their best life.

As a pediatric provider, Ms. Mathias works with patients from newborns to 18 years of age. She sees patients for their annual physicals, when they’re feeling sick, to help with mental health treatments, and much more. Her philosophy is to treat all patients as a whole human being. This includes treating their basic physical ailments but also understanding that emotional, mental, and environmental states affect all aspects of health.

“Every time I see a patient, whether it’s for the first time or the twelfth, my goal is to establish a trustful working relationship where the patient and all those close to the patient feel as though their concerns are being met,” she says. What she enjoys most about her work is the development she sees in kids and adolescents. “The first 18 years of life are filled with such development; physical, social, and emotional. I love being a part of that process and seeing the humans they grow into.”

Outside of work, Ms. Mathias is an avid reader who enjoys fantasy, sci-fi, and romance books. She also loves crocheting, hiking, and game nights with friends. Mental health is a cause she is particularly passionate about. With a background in psychology, she understands how our mental state can affect our physical state and vice versa. She will always advocate for everyone to receive proper behavioral health treatment starting from a young age.
