Biography
Jeanne Young, MD is a board-certified dermatologist and Mohs micrographic surgeon. She was born and raised in Central Connecticut and is excited to bring her knowledge and expertise back to this area. Dr. Young provides the full breadth of general medical dermatology services with specialization in procedural dermatology. Her clinical interests include nail procedures, benign and malignant excisions as well as Mohs surgery, particularly high-risk skin cancer, and reconstruction of Mohs surgical defects.
Dr. Young received her B.S. from Springfield College Physician Assistant Program in Springfield, Massachusetts and practiced as a P.A. for several years. She then earned her medical degree from Quillen College of Medicine at East Tennessee State University where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, the Gold Humanism Honor Society, and received the Dean’s Distinguished Student Award. Dr. Young completed her Dermatology Residency at the University of Virginia where she served as chief resident. She pursued her fellowship training in Mohs micrographic surgery and cutaneous oncology at the University of Virginia. She has previously been on faculty at the University of Virginia, where she served as Medical Director of the Department of Dermatology.
Dr. Young is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and American College of Mohs Surgery.
