Paula W. Feng, M.D., Ophthalmology
November 1, 2022The Department of Ophthalmology is happy to welcome Dr. Paula W. Feng. Dr. Feng is a fellowship trained cornea specialist. She attended medical school at Yale School of Medicine where she graduated cum laude and remained at Yale for her residency in the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Science. Subsequently, she completed her fellowship in Cornea, External Disease and Refractive Surgery at the renowned Bascom Palmer Eye Institute as a fellow of the Heed Ophthalmic Society, one of the most prestigious national awards available for graduating ophthalmology residents.
Dr. Feng specializes in the management of cataracts and corneal disease, including corneal transplantation and a variety of diseases involving the surface of the eye, cornea, conjunctiva and sclera, such as ocular surface squamous neoplasia, corneal dystrophies, keratoconus, and infectious and inflammatory diseases of the cornea and sclera. In addition, she performs refractive surgery procedures such as laser-assisted in-situ keratomilieusis (LASIK), photorefractive keratectomy (PRK) and implantable collamer lenses (ICL). Her advanced training in cornea, external disease and refractive surgery at preeminent ophthalmology and medical institutions enables her to provide cutting-edge treatment for both routine and challenging cases as well as excellent surgical outcomes. Doctor Feng enjoys educating her patients to arrive at a shared understanding and common goals.
When she is not tending to patients, Dr. Feng enjoys skiing, her Peloton, and maintaining an active role in research. She has coauthored over forty peer-reviewed manuscripts and has been a speaker at national society meetings. She is a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons and the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
