Lab Orders That Have a Source Collection
Beginning Wednesday, September 18th, 2019, source descriptions and some additional information questions will be prompted for while ordering a sub-set of labs that are collected in the office. ThinPrep Paps with an HPV will prompt for a source collection site (i.e.: cervix) to be entered along with other limited clinical information. This process will also split these lab requisitions from any other lab requisitions ordered on the same day. That will allow the individual collected specimen and the individual lab requisition to be “bagged” and processed separately.
The source field will have a list of options to pick from by clicking the down arrow to the right of the box. The collection date will have a calendar for entry and all other fields are free text.
