Kristen Walton, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC, Hematology/Oncology, Wethersfield

Kristen started her nursing career by earning an Associate of Science degree in Nursing from Maria College in 2012. She then went on for her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing which she completed in 2014. She has worked in various settings as a registered nurse in the areas of critical care, gynecology, and hematology/ oncology. She earned a Master’s degree in Nursing from Sacred Heart University in 2017 and has been working in the specialty of hematology and oncology as an APRN at Hartford Hospital and UConn for the last 3 years. 

Kristen is interested in the care of breast cancer patients, as well as holistic approaches to medicine for all oncology patients. She is a current member of the Oncology Nursing Society and CT APRNs. She is an ANCC board-certified family nurse practitioner and is chemotherapy/ immunotherapy certified as well.
